PRE-TAN

POST-TAN

EXFOLIATE. Pre-session exfoliation is the first step to achieving flawless spray tanning results. It is best to clear away dry, dead skin cells with a sulfate-free scrub from Norvell. This will polish and prep the pH balance of the skin to keep orange undertones at bay. Tips To Prep For The Perfect Tan: Avoid using bar soaps, high pH shower products or in-shower moisturizers. Be sure to complete any waxing, shaving or use of depilatory creams no later than 24 hours prior to your session.

Tips To Optimizing The Perfect Tan: Refrain from showering as long as possible, ideally for 8 hours. As with all DHA products, sunless color begins showing development approximately 4 hours post application and continues to darken for up to 10 hours. If you must shower before the 8 hours has lapsed, do so using a warm water rinse only. The use of soap can inhibit full development of DHA. Never fear, cosmetic surface bronzers will wash away during the first shower. Note: Chlorine can cause premature fading of sunless results. After Showering use a moisturizer low in alcohol content for even and optimal bronzing results!

WHAT IS

SUGARING?

DO'S & DON'TS

PRE &

POST-CARE

INGREDIENTS

Sugaring is an ancient Egyptian hair removal technique that uses a water-soluble sugar paste to extract unwanted hairs. Our licensed Esthetician applies the sugaring paste against the natural direction of hair growth with a bio-degradable glove then removes the sugar in the natural direction of the hair growth. This technique minimizes breakage to thin out the hair follicle quicker than traditional waxing and is suitable for all skin types.

Pre sugaring: Length of hair must be at least 2 weeks after shaving preferably quarter of an inch. If the hair is too long it will tangle in sugar and be less comfortable. If the hair is too short it will not be as clean of a removal as possible and may leave shorter hairs behind. Clean dry skin allows sugar to adhere and be as quick of a treatment as possible. Post sugaring: Avoid exercising, sweating and anything that introduces heat or foreign bacteria to the skin for at least 24 hours. Refrain from exfoliation for 48 hours as sugaring leaves naturally exfoliating.

Do's: Shave two weeks prior if you are not already on a sugaring or waxing cycle. Refrain from caffeine prior to appointment. Schedule your sugar after the date of your period or at least a before, If you are on your period please have a new tampon in upon arrival. Don'ts: Do not sugar while on antibiotics or accutane. Do not sugar if you have an unresolved infection or sny cut, scab or open wound on the skin.

The sugar paste we use at Sweet Cheeks is made of: SUGAR, LEMON, & WATER...that's it! The sugar paste is biodegradable as well as organic. The sugaring process we use does not require application sticks or strips. Everything in our sugaring process is environmentally friendly right down to the biodegradable gloves that are used in each service. To go a step further Sweet Cheeks is recognized as a certified green business by the state of California & the Santa Barbara Green Business Association.

DO'S & DON'TS

DO clean them with a 'special' eyelash cleaner If you're unsure if your current skincare products are oil-based, it's better to be safe and switch to a specific eyelash shampoo. You don't have to use it every day (if you're not wearing mascara - and with extensions you'll probably find you don't need to), but 2-3 times a week will help keep your lashes cleansed and moisturized, without compromising the adhesive bonds.

DO brush them once a day When you go for your first appointment, you should be given a special brush to use to comb your extensions. This should be done once a day to avoid them from becoming tangled and keep them looking as lush as possible.

DON'T get them wet for 24 hours To ensure the glue has proper time to set, and will give your extensions the best chance at lasting, you should avoid getting them wet for the first 24 hours. This including hitting the gym (sweat) or going for a steam or sauna. Moisture of any kind should be avoided.

DON'T use oil-based products The biggest warning you'll be given for taking care of your extensions is to avoid oil-based products, as they can break down the glue and cause them to fall out. This not only means skincare, but makeup as well. You can use mascara on your extensions if you wish, but it should definitely NOT be oil-based.
